Recently, a display innovation exhibition was held in Yokohama, Japan. A laboratory called Semiconductor Energy Laboratory (SEL) exhibited a 8.7-inch SuperAMOLED touch screen with 1080P resolution. The special feature of this display is that it can be folded. The two positions in the middle of the screen can achieve a certain degree of bending, although it can not be bent like paper, but it can be regarded as a major breakthrough in touch display technology. According to SEL developers, the display looks soft, but it can withstand more than 100,000 times of repeated folding. Although flexible screens have been applied to consumer electronics, foldable screens have not yet been implemented by vendors, and it is believed that this technology will be widely used in the future.
